Ryan James Smith (born 2 April 1969) is the member for the seat of Warrandyte in the Legislative Assembly.[1]

In November 2009 Ryan was promoted to the front bench in the role of Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations and Manufacturing.

Following the Liberal/National Coalition victory in the 2010 Victorian state election, Ryan was appointed as Minister for Environment & Climate Change and the Minister for Youth Affairs.

Before entering the Victorian Parliament, Ryan had 18 years experience working in the finance sector and was a Manager in Institutional Banking Service and Sales at the Commonwealth Bank.[1] He is married to wife Avril and has a son Brodie and daughter Jaime.
